PSCo Confirms Multi-Million Pound Investment of Absen LED to Support Rental Partners

Following an incredibly successful 2019 and with 2020 forecast to be the brightest year yet for LED rental, PSCo today announces a multi-millionpound investment to expand their trade rental fleet and further support trade rental partners throughout the UK live events industry. The investment will see PSCo carry huge volumes of matched-batch LED stock available for both hire and sale. For indoor applications we supply a comprehensive 1-2-3mm pixel pitch line-up comprising of the high performance Absen Aries AX1.5 (1.5mm) MiniLED, Polaris PL2.5 Pro (2.5mm) and PL3.9 XL (3.9mm). However, for outdoor applications we provide the ultra-high-resolution Polaris PL3.9 Pro (3.9mm) and ultra-lightweight PL4.8 Pro XL (4.8mm) LED rental screens.

The cutting-edge Absen Aries AX1.5 1.5mm indoor LED initial batch sold out immediately following a highly successful launch and PSCo have quickly moved to bring in more stock on a second batch to meet customer demand. With a 1.5mm ultra-fine pixel pitch, 16:9 ratio, 4K resolution and HDR10 support the AX1.5 is the first LED rental product to combine a 4-in-1 MiniLED pixel design and Common Cathode technology that offers superior visual performance and a higher robustness that is perfectly suited to live events use.

The popular and versatile Polaris PL2.5 Pro is arguably the best price vs performance 2.5mm indoor rental LED in the market, with nearly 5,000 panels already purchased by trade rental companies in the UK. With premium-grade LED and high-precision mechanics, the PL2.5 Pro delivers ultra-high performance, fast set-up, and offers best-in-class visual performance and features. Now with a sweeter price for 2020 – the ROI opportunity for rental companies has never been better!

PSCo have expanded their 2020 LED offering to include larger size, lighter weight indoor and outdoor cabinets. The new Absen PL4.8 Pro XL is a super-lightweight outdoor panel measuring 500x1000mm, twice the size of a ‘regular’ LED panel which reduces the per-square-metre weight by up to 40% and allows for super-fast setup - even with super-size screens. Likewise, the new PL3.9 XL presents a larger, lighter indoor-only 3.9mm solution in the same 500x1000mm lightweight chassis and is available now in large matched batches to help deliver ultra-large continuous LED walls for indoor live events. With an increasing focus on sustainability in the event space, the lower per-square-metre weight dramatically improves transport efficiency and helps rental partners to reduce their carbon footprint.

Also available for rental and sales – the best-in-class PL3.9 Pro 3.9mm pixel pitch high resolution outdoor LED display offers superior visual performance, breaking the 5,000nits outdoor brightness barrier for an ultra-high contrast ratio black SMD LED product. Benefitting from Absen HBB (high-brightness black) Common Cathode technology and a premium black-SMD, the PL3.9 Pro delivers 20% higher brightness, with 20% lower heat than the standard LED – making it capable of delivering extreme contrasts, vibrant colours, deep blacks and an unrivalled pixel uniformity with ultra-high brightness. PL3.9 Pro is the perfect solution for uncompromising, outdoor environments that demand ultra-high brightness and high image detail.

PSCo's head of LED, Liam Winter, commented: "The LED market continues to grow, and we are anticipating 2020 to be another great year for the events industry. By purchasing LED in large volume our partners across the UK can rent, purchase and cross hire from huge matching batches of best-in-class LED, ensuring they never run out of stock and never have to say no to a customer. Absen LED offers premium performance at an affordable price, and with PSCo’s enhanced local service and support we can ensure our customers get a great long-term investment and fast ROI. We invite all customers to PSCo for a hands-on demo and welcome the opportunity to host a shootout against alternatives”

Alex Couzins, head of brand and marketing for Absen Europe, added: "We have seen massive demand for the Polaris PL2.5 Pro and the new Aries AX1.5 1.5mm fine pitch LED within the rental market and this huge investment by our partner PSCo will ensure that demand is fulfilled. PSCo are uniquely placed to support the growth of LED in the UK due to their ability to supply matching batch LED either for purchase or trade hire alongside a consistency in accessories and a complete service wrap, that includes UK repair, down to a single pixel"

PSCo’s unique trade distribution model adds extra value for rental companies looking to purchase for their own rental fleets by offering rental-ready packages including LED displays, LED controllers, hanging and ground stacking systems, flight casing as well as enhanced training and warranty options, matched-batch trade-only cross-hire and competitive leasing & financing options.
